This unit includes the following:

- Relevant Australian Standards, Legislation and Regulations;
- OH&S policy;
- Codes of Practice;
- Work requirements and procedure;
- Safety information and procedures;
- Site hazards;
- Application of geological and survey information;
- Operation of bulk water truck, including load, haul and distribute water; and
- Shut down equipment and secure site.

| Description: |
This course covers operating water trucks in the civil construction and mining industries. It includes:
- Planning and preparing prior to operation;
- Operating the truck and its facilities; and
- Conducting post-operational procedures.

| Prerequisites: |
- English literacy to a basic level; and
- Necessary health and fitness to carry out the work safely.

| Assessment: |
- Written Assessment; and
- Practical Assessment.
|
| Outcome: |
Successful students will be issued with:
- Notice of Satisfactory Assessment; and
- A licensed-sized plastic card stating the unit achieved.
|
| Duration: |
- No experience
- 1 day for training and assessment;
- Experienced operators
- 4 hours for assessment only; and
- Note: Students must supply work history.
